Our head office is at Grimsby in North East Lincolnshire, our customers services activity operates from here and we process orders for the UK and Ireland. All aspects of delivery, invoicing and credit control are managed from this location.
Our manufacturing, storage and distribution site at Yara Pocklington is situated some 20 minutes to the south east of York, on the Pocklington Industrial Estate. The Yara Pocklington site is the global centre for the development and production of the YaraVita range of foliar and micronutrient fertilisers. The business started in Pocklington in 1967 and now sells YaraVita products via local Yara units or specialist distributors in over 60 countries. Activities on the site include production, global product management, product development, agronomic advice and soil / plant analysis.
Yara operates locally from our facilities at Immingham Docks, where preferential berthing rights and extensive storage and handling facilities enable us to offer cost effective, secure product supplies to our customers. In addition, Immingham dispatches a range of liquid nitrogen and sulphur fertilisers, the site has significant storage capacity and loading facilities for high numbers of tanker movements during the peak spring months. From here, we can guarantee an efficient service to our local customers and we can all benefit from the environmental advantages of eliminating long distance road haulage.
Yara operates an import operation with fertiliser storage and bagging facilities at the Port of Garston which is ideally placed geographically to supply our customers in the north-west of England and Wales. The Garston facility enables us to bring in the appropriate high quality solid fertiliser products from our plants in Europe close to where they will be used in the north-west of England and Wales. This means we can guarantee an efficient service to our local customers and we can all benefit from the environmental advantages of eliminating long distance road haulage.
The site is situated at the West Country Port of Avonmouth, near Bristol and facilitates the import Yara's fertilisers in the Midlands, the south-west England, south-east Wales and a significant portion of southern England.
The Avonmouth facility enables us to bring in the relevant high quality plant nutrient solid fertiliser products from our European plants close to where they will be used.We can to guarantee an efficient service to our local customers and we can all benefit from the environmental advantages of eliminating long distance road haulage. The Yara liquid fertiliser operation at Avonmouth comprises significant storage with loading points for dispatching liquid nitrogen and sulphur grades into south-west England

The site specialises in the manufacture and distribution of specific analysis liquid NPK's as well as supplying liquid nitrogen and sulphur grades for the arable, potato and vegetable grower.
Much of the operation requires a 'Just in Time' philosophy as the correct analysis must arrive on farm (or even field) within a specified period. The site has significant storage capacity yet the boundary is fully bunded and the site operates a proactive environmental policy. Yara Liquid Fertiliser sites were recently featured in a third party booklet as an example of 'good practice' within the industry.
Our Chedburgh manufacturing, storage and distribution site is situated some 10 minutes to the south of Bury St Edmunds. The site specialises in the manufacture and distribution of specific analysis liquid NPK's as well as supplying liquid nitrogen and sulphur grades for the arable, potato and vegetable grower. Much of the operation requires a 'Just in Time' philosophy as the correct analysis must arrive on farm (or even field) within a specified period. The site has significant storage capacity yet the boundary is fully bunded and the site operates a proactive environmental policy.
The site is situated at the Port of Dagenham. We have storage and dispatch facilities for our range of liquid fertilisers during peak off take times to satisfy the liquid fertiliser demand in south-east England. From here we are able to guarantee an efficient service to our local customers and benefit from the environmental advantages of eliminating long distance road haulage.
The site is situated at the Port of Swansea and allows the import and bagging of Yara's fertilisers for the Welsh fertiliser market. The state-of-the-art storage and distribution terminal for fertilisers located at the Port's Phoenix Wharf, provides 5,700 sq m warehouse and 8,500 sq m of covered storage, equipped with conveyors and bagging plant with a 100 tonnes/hour capacity.

The Belfast site is located beside Belfast port and consists of modern offices with up to date packing and storage facilities to successfully deal with the volume of product that is marketed and sold in throughout Ireland. The fertiliser arrives into the port of Belfast from Yara own manufacturing plants, where it is discharged into our bulk storage premises. The bagging and storage facilities, which are operated by Charles Tennant (N.I) Ltd, have in recent years been modernized and improved so as to handle the steady increasing business for Yara throughout Ireland.
The packing facilities were upgraded in September 2000 with automatic packing equipment so that production can easily be increased to meet demand from our sales and distribution network. The site covers 5 hectares with both bulk and bagged storage capacity. These facilities have been improved over recent years to such a level that we can be flexible to meet the growing demand in the market for Yara products. The Irish sales team are responsible for all the sales and marketing of Yara branded products, which are sold and distributed through a network of agricultural merchants and agents.
The Moira site is located some 15 miles inland from Belfast and consists of bagging and storage facilities to handle the increasing business which now exists for Yara throughout Ireland. Distribution from here is handled by the Irish sales team, they are responsible for all the sales and marketing of Yara branded products, which are sold and distributed through a network of agricultural merchants and agents.
The Ayr site is situated at the Kintyre Terminal at the Port of Ayr and will facilitate the import and bagging of the Company's fertiliser range for the Scottish market. The Ayr facility enables us to bring in the appropriate high quality plant nutrient products from our European plants close to where they will be used. We can able to guarantee an efficient service to our local customers and we can all benefit from the environmental advantages of eliminating long distance road haulage.
The Dundee site is situated on the estuary of the River Tay at the east end of the docks. The site is approximately 3 acres and is well situated for easy access to the agricultural areas in the north east of Scotland. Bulk finished uniform, product is shipped to Dundee from Yara factories in Europe. This is then processed and packaged into 25kg and 600kg bags ready for dispatch to our customers.
Perth is our most northern manufacturing and storage site in the UK. From here we produce a complete range of Yara liqid fertiliser high quality straight nitrogen, sulphur and compound solutions formulated to meet the plant food requirements of the major crops grown in the UK. In addition to the extensive range of standard grades, Yara liquid fertiliser compounds can be mixed to meet specific nutrient requirements.
